Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent, to deliver the page and protect it against abuse. Vercel keeps these logs for a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel acts as our processor under a data processing agreement; transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google.
Calculations
Everything you enter into a calculator is processed in your browser and is not sent to us.
Stored in your browser
We set no cookies. We use your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device, for the following conveniences:
- whether you prefer imperial or metric units
- your optional saved pet: name, species, breed, birthday and weight
You can delete these entries at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Your saved pet
The saved pet uses the local storage key pet-fieldnotes-profile-v1. It belongs to this browser and does not sync between devices. Anyone with access to the same browser may see it. Remove it on the My pet page, or clear the site data in your browser. When storage is blocked, the record remains only in the current tab.
Session records and downloads
Herd calendars and measured weight histories are held in the current page’s memory. Leaving or reloading may remove them. Downloading a CSV or calendar creates a file on your device; importing it into another application shares its contents according to that application’s rules. Printing uses your browser’s print dialog.
External sources
Source links open other websites with their own privacy practices. Telephone links open your phone application. No calculator input values are intentionally attached to page URLs.
Web analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It records aggregate visits and page views, including the page path, referring site, approximate location, browser and device type. It uses no analytics cookies. Vercel distinguishes visits using a hash derived from the request and discards the visitor session after 24 hours.
We remove query parameters and URL fragments from page-view URLs before sending them to analytics. We do not send calculator inputs, saved profiles or deal files as analytics events. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation for more information.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you and delete them when the conversation is over, unless we must keep them by law (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to jonas@sport-calculator.com. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live or the one responsible for us.
No advertising or automated decision making takes place on this site.
